B.C. Aboriginal Network in Disability Society (BCANDS)
With BCANDS since February 2019, Candice has provided case management services to assist Indigenous people with disabilities navigate multi jurisdictional systems to meet their needs and goals. Candice has been working in the disability field for 15 years. She is the co-founder of C-A-Mcorder Productions, creating employment opportunities for Deaf and disabled film makers and experiential learning experiences for film industry professionals to create more inclusive work environments. Candice has worked provincially, national and internationally with disability groups such as; the Ethno-Racial Persons with Disabilities Coalition of Ontario (ERDCO), Zambian Foundation for Landmine Survivors (ZAFLAS), and the Ottawa Independent Living Resource Centre (OILRC), to name a few. Candice has a passion for social equity and sustainability, and experiments with universal designs in her own home on Vancouver Island.
