ActivitiesThe continued spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Canada and around the world has understandably raised concerns about public health and safety. The threat posed to First Nations’ communities throughout Canada is of high concern and the FNHIC continues to monitor this rapidly developing situation.

Staff at the FNHIC-BC continue to work remotely and like all of you, are taking the necessary steps to protect one another and their family during this pandemic.

The pandemic has impacted the FNHIC-BC's ability to move forward with a number of planned activities including the postponement of our 2020 Forum and Face-to-Face community engagement sessions. FNHIC-BC is having to adapt like everyone else and is adopting innovative and online tools to facilitate the engagement sessions with First Nation communities as well as to communicate with the various levels of government. All of these efforts are focused on moving towards creating a First Nations Housing and

Infrastructure Authority in BC.

We will continue to update Leadership and the First Nation community at large as the situation evolves and we appreciate your patience and understanding during this incredibly difficult time.

Stay safe and take care of one another.

Sincerely,

FNHIC-BC
