Prepare your budget, project description, timeline, Band Council Resolution or approval letter, quotes, site information, and any supporting documents.Complete the application form

Successful applicants will be contacted to complete a funding agreement before funds are released.

Reaching Home Capital Projects
Supports capital projects that prevent or reduce homelessness, with a focus on transitional and supportive housing. Funding can support the acquisition, construction, renovation, repair, or conversion of properties to create or improve transitional/supportive housing and facilities serving people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Reaching Home Housing Supports Funding
For services and supports that help individuals and families experiencing or at risk of homelessness obtain and maintain stable housing. This can include housing navigation, case management, outreach, and other housing-focused supports.

Reaching Home Research and Planning Funding
For work that helps communities better understand and respond to homelessness and housing needs. This can include needs assessments, homelessness strategies, data collection, research, feasibility work, and community planning.

Urban, Rural and Northern Capital Project Funding
Supports First Nations in developing and improving long-term housing supply in urban, rural, and northern areas. Funding can support projects such as new housing construction, housing acquisition, renovations and repairs, land acquisition, and planning/design activities that contribute to safe, adequate and sustainable housing.

Urban, Rural and Northern Programming & Education Funding
Supports housing-related programs, education, training and capacity development that strengthen First Nations' ability to address housing needs. This can include housing education, tenant/homeowner education, housing management capacity, training, workshops, and other initiatives that improve housing knowledge and long-term housing outcomes.

URN Capital Project Risk & Mitigation Plan
All capital projects need to include this plan to be eligible
Used to identify and assess key risks that could affect the successful delivery of a URN capital project, including budget, schedule, construction, procurement, permitting, environmental, capacity, and project readiness risks. It also identifies the mitigation measures, responsible parties, and actions needed to manage those risks throughout the project.
