We are pleased to welcome Katie Dekker to the First Nations Housing & Infrastructure Council (FNHIC) as the new Program Coordinator for the Reaching Home initiative. Katie brings over three years of experience in policy analysis, program coordination, and research, with a strong focus on advancing the rights and well-being of Indigenous communities. She has worked with the BC Public Service in Indigenous Relations and Partnerships, as well as with the Aboriginal Coalition to End Homelessness, where she led culturally supportive programs for Indigenous youth, developed harm reduction initiatives rooted in land-based healing practices, and collaborated with partners to design inclusive, community-driven solutions.

 In her role with FNHIC, Katie will be instrumental in supporting our Reaching Home Indigenous Homelessness Program, coordinating projects, engaging with communities, and helping us deliver on our commitment to address housing and homelessness challenges through culturally relevant, community-led solutions. We’re thrilled to have Katie join our team. Her experience, dedication, and collaborative approach will be a valuable asset to our work.
