Gina Taylor is a proud member of the T’it’q’et Nation, part of the St’at’imc people from Lillooet, British Columbia—also known as the Frog Clan or Salmon People. She spent most of her life in Lillooet and now resides in Kamloops, BC. Gina has completed two years of post-secondary education in accounting, bookkeeping, and business administration. She brings over 30 years of experience working with First Nations communities, demonstrating a strong commitment to community development and administrative leadership.
Most recently, Gina served as the Administration Manager for Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc. In this role, she developed a comprehensive set of internal protocols known as the Admin Procedures, a 33-page document that has significantly improved collaboration and efficiency between staff and the Tk’emlúps Chief and Council. Her work earned her recognition by the Local Government Management Association (LGMA), leading to a presentation at the 2023 Administrative Professionals Conference and an invitation to join the 2024 conference planning committee.
Now stepping into a new chapter with the First Nations Housing and Infrastructure Council (FNHIC), Gina is enthusiastic about engaging with Interior Nations across BC to collaborate on solutions that enhance housing and infrastructure.
Outside of work, Gina enjoys an active lifestyle. She plays slo-pitch in the spring and summer, and basketball and volleyball during the fall and winter. She also cherishes time outdoors, often going for walks and hikes with her 15-year-old daughter.
